Project #8: Funny Disaster
Deadline: March 21, 2003
Length: 1500 words ± 5%
Object: Write about something that happened to you that didn't seem funny at the time, bringing the incident under the humor spotlight without telling the reader that you're trying to be funny.
Goal of the project: To explore the effect of attitude towards subject material and understand that not all writing has to be of a serious attitude to be interesting. Also, continued practice with showing language and editing.
